For all of you that don’t know it yet, the site went down more than 12 hours ago.
The hosting provider was experiencing some issues which resulted in Aethernea site going down for half a day. I apologize for any inconvenience it might have caused you.
Unfortunately, in these matters, I am just as helpless about it as you guys. I had to wait for their support to handle the issue. 🙁
To make matters worse, it took me several hours to realize that the site was down. And after that, I waited several hours for them to respond to my issue. They claimed to have fixed it, and we bantered back and forth for hours before they actually fixed it.This is not the first time the Aethernea site went down because of their internal issues. I am fed up with the site randomly going down because of their problems. The last time their entire system went down and I couldn’t even log in to send a support ticket. I had to pray that they would realize that the server was down on their own.
Not to mention that they have some kind of a uptime guarantee that for every hour of downtime they would give a free month of hosting. My site went down for enough hours to have years of free hosting, but they never gave me a single month.
I am very dissatisfied with the hosting provider and are currently working on moving the site to another one in hopes that this will be the last time something like this happens.
